Hi Stang folks, I've gotta tell you that I had thought that failing the emissions test was the perfect opportunity to get taken to the cleaners for car repairs. First time through, I was sitting next to a woman who had failed and had $800 of repairs. I'm used to my brother turning the wrench on my truck, but he's in the service and out of the country. It was a real surprise to get my truck back in a single day, under estimate, and having had the emissions test already done. Thank you to everyone there, especially Nino, for being honest, and saving me some frayed nerves. I'll be visiting in the future. Best, Wendy

I took my car in for a fluid leak. They diagnosed the leak, but charged me to do so, and didn't even apply those charges toward the cost of repairing said problem. Then it took 2 days to replace the radiator. We gave the go-ahead at noon the first day and car wasn't ready until close the next day. I asked to see the leak (I typically ask many questions of the assigned mechanic just because I Iike to be educated) but we were told the car had been moved outside so that was not possible. I even asked for pictures, but those were never provided either. We were also charged for a radiator flush. What's there to flush- it is a new radiator? The people were very nice, and the shuttle service is convenient, but it would be less expensive to pay for a cab than the extra costs of doing business at this car repair shop. This shop came highly recommended from a close friend & I read all of the stellar reviews before selecting this mechanic, so maybe this was an isolated incident, but we definitely will not be returning. Update: took car to a different auto shop where they replaced the clamps on a hose for $75. Stang told me I needed a new power steering reservoir and wanted around $600 in parts & labor to fix it. So glad I waited on that; saved myself over $500!

They brought the car in for a power steering fluid leak and our testing identified a more critical leak from the radiator. Brian came in that afternoon to review the charges for the testing, repair and cooling system service, and expressed no concerns when approving this work. We keep the cost of the testing separate instead of hiding it in the repair, so the customer knows exactly what they are paying for, and it would be unprofessional not to address the condition of the rest of the cooling system with a new radiator. We were extremely surprised with their original review after hearing no concerns from Davina during the shuttle ride or when reviewing each item on the invoice when picking up the car. I attempted to contact them to resolve their concerns, but ended up with a copy of the review here a month later. We work very hard to make sure the customer understands what their vehicle needs, answer all of their questions ahead of time, and only do the work they approve. It really bothers us to have an isolated case like this.
