I took my car into a local auto shop to have a routine transmission flush and fill. When I got my car home it was leaking transmission fluid badly. I took it to Stang to have them fix it, they said it wouldn't be a problem, "they service all parts and systems on all cars". I had to be given a call to see if I wanted to have the filter replaced, wouldn't a person with any common sense want a filter replaced on a fluid replacement? I'm by no means an auto mechanic but with every oil change, the oil filter is replaced as well. Then they called me a few other times to see if I wanted other parts replaced. They are the mechanics not me as I mentioned previously. They had my car for almost two weeks which they could have done this job in a day! I missed a golf tournament because of this. I asked them to flush and fill and when I got there to pick it up they told me they only drained the fluid and filled. They gave me some lame reason for doing what they did but the real reason is they didn't want to flush away any parts of the transmission leaving them in a spot that wouldn't be in their best interest financially. So they charged me over $1,000.00 to drain the transmission and fill it. IMO this is way more than non-ethical, bordering on fraud. If they didn't want to work on the car they should have just told me no. But they didn't want to turn away $1,000,000. Not cool, Bob
